Ohio Treasurer Kevin L. Boyce’s Smart Money Choices Tour Coming to Dayton
Registration Now Open for Smart Money Choices: Honoring the Honorable –Finances for Military Families
Columbus – Wright Patterson Air Force Base will serve as the next stop of Ohio Treasurer Kevin L. Boyce’s Smart Money Choices Tour.
On Friday, October 23rd, Ohio’s military personnel and their families will take part in the conference titled: Smart Money Choices: Honoring the Honorable – Finances for Military Families. The Ohio Treasury has launched this conference to provide Ohio’s military families with strategies and tools to help them succeed in this economy. Currently, Ohio is ranked 5th among the nation for Air Force recruits and 38th for total military personnel.
“At the Ohio Treasury, one of our goals is to engage Ohioans about financial education and literacy,” Treasurer Boyce said. “Recognizing the emotional and financial stressors that many military families face, the Ohio Treasury is committed to providing resources to assist them during these difficult financial times.”
This day-long event will be held at Wright Patterson Air Force Base – Hope Hotel and Conference Center located in Fairborn at Building 823, Area A. The conference will kick-off with an opening session at 8:00 a.m., followed by workshops, lunch, and a guest motivational speaker.
Throughout the conference, participants will have the opportunity to personalize their experience by attending a wide range of different breakout sessions: Budgeting, Credit & Debt Management, and Investments are among the topics participants can choose from at the conference.
The Smart Money Choices: Honoring the Honorable – Finances for Military Families conference is free and open to the public, but advance registration is required to participate. The deadline to register online and via telephone for the conference is Wednesday, October 21, 2009 by 5:00 pm.
