Treasurer Boyce Joins Mayor Mulligan to Kickoff Census Road Tour in Middletown




Middletown – On Tuesday, January 5, 2010, State of Ohio Treasurer and Chair of the Ohio Complete Count Committee, Kevin Boyce will make a stop in Middletown to help kick off the 2010 Census “Portrait of America” Road Tour.
 
Treasurer Boyce will join members of the local Complete Count Committee and several local elected officials, including Mayor Mulligan to promote awareness and increase participation for the 2010 Census to the residents of Middletown.
 
The 2010 Census “Portrait of America” Road Tour is designed to increase awareness and encourage participation for the census. This interactive road tour will make stops at more than 800 events nationwide. During the next months, the tour will be part of the largest civic outreach and awareness campaign in U.S. history.
 
Middletown will mark the interactive tour’s third stop in Ohio. The Ohio leg of the tour kicked off today in Cincinnati and will be in Hamilton prior to coming to Middletown tomorrow. The tour is expected to make stops in Ohio throughout the month of January and will make its return back to the Buckeye State in February.
